Church Street Surplus (IG)
Neighborhood: Tribeca
Family-owned since 1972, it has become a go-to destination for collectors, stylists, costume designers, and vintage enthusiasts seeking authentic military and workwear pieces. Great source for denim and leather jackets, overalls, U.S. Army surplus, European camouflage, and original garments from the 1960s to 1980s. Also, collectibles, blankets, tablecloths, and fabrics. Notably, Church Street Surplus has supplied wardrobe pieces for productions such as Boardwalk Empire, The Blacklist, Vinyl, The Deuce, and Saturday Night Live.

10ft Single By Stella Dallas (IG)

This expansive emporium offers a meticulously organized selection from ultrasoft '80s logo tees and flannel shirts to Converse sneakers in every color, Letterman jackets, trench coats, military surplus, sweatshirts, and deadstock denim, you name it. The store caters to a wide array of vintage enthusiasts. Adjacent to the main store is Stella Dallas Living, which features an impressive selection of vintage furniture, global and furnishing textiles, and antique clothing from the 1840s to the present day .

Neighborhood: Cobble Hill (our fave), Clinton Hill, Fort Greene
Art lifestyle boutique, part vintage store, offers a wide-range of products, combining an eclectic mix of both affordable and rare vintage. Aside from clothing, the store offers a mix of home goods, and artisanal products, all thoughtfully curated to celebrate craftsmanship and individuality.

Maison Émute (IG)
Neighborhood: Williamsburg
Émute means riot (pronounced "eh-mutt"). Reclaiming and repurposing are at the core of Maison Émute’s ethos. The store specializes in sustainable fashion, offering clothes crafted from vintage and salvaged natural fabrics, creating upcycled one-of-a-kind pieces. Custom tailoring is included in the price - so if you love an item and it needs a custom adjustment to your body, they will tailor it for you at no extra cost.

Neighborhood: LES
Expertly curated selection of vintage and original jewelry, blending clean-line modernism with goopy brutalism. Located in a tucked away Chinatown mall underneath Manhattan bridge. It’s a “if you know, you know” type of place (definitely wanted to gatekeep this one).
